I finally finished my vibrant green caplet I've been working on. It is seen here on its lovely recipient. It was a surprise gift and she was amply surprised. I am glad the color suited her skin tones and hair (it made me look washed out) because I fished it out online especially for her. It worked out great.......

My Big Cat Named Whiskey and My Old New Blanket

I thought I would continue the cat theme since my other cat decided to make an example of himself as well. Over the years I have been working on a blanket I will probably finish when I'm 50. When I am between projects I get rid of my scraps by knitting blocks I later sew together. It's been five years now and I started the sewing process yesterday. I have many more to knit yet, but I've got a good start!!

Almost Done My Latest Caplet (Poncho)

My cat knows how to appreciate my knitting. I have had soaking wet sweaters that I am blocking or laying flat to dry, and covered with a thin layer of towels, and my cats who hate water, love wool. They will lie on it wet or dry. This is a cotton caplet I've been working on. It's been temporarily inhabited by Baby, my lovely cat.

Yarn for my next poncho, scroll down to see it's beginnings

Some crazy damn yarn and a crazy damn project. I have a friend you can pull these colors off, so this is my next and hopefully last poncho for a while. She doesn't know I am making it for her, I hope the color doesn't surprise her into hiding it in her closet. Yikes......It's a creative challenge and she's the sort that looks good in any color.

Up close and personal......with the lime and leaf.

A start. I had to undo a bunch of it today, so this is before the unraveling. But you can sort of get an idea what it is going to look like.

For My Sister

I recently finished another poncho in Chilean Cotton. I made all my previous poncho's with wool but my sister is allergic to it. So here it is. Unfortunately for me, she lives out west, so I am modeling it for her !!
